Red Devils are interested in Benfica’s genius ‘Silva’.

Manchester United are set to re-engage Benfica wonderkid Antonio Silva this summer, according to Portuguese outlet ยูฟ่าเบท. Erik ten Hag and Ineos are continuing their search for a new centre-back

after completing the signing of one of their most promising young players in Lanie Yoro. United have also been linked with a move for Bayern Munich’s Matthijs de Ligt and Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite. Both deals for United have been met with stiff competition from their

clubs, with Everton having previously rejected a bid for Branthwaite. De Ligt,

despite reportedly agreeing terms with United, is not an easy task, and United

are now considering other options in the position. However, the arrival of their next defender depends on the sale of an old player by the club.

Silva, 20, has been a target for United for some time, and like De Ligt and Branthwaite, his price tag could also be an obstacle, with his release clause expected to be in the region of €100m.

However, according to O Jogo, United are expected to negotiate a lower fee, although it is unclear whether they will be able to negotiate a deal cheaper than De Ligt’s asking price, which is thought to be in the region of €50m.
